      These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LifeOS — including the LifeOS, Calendar Pro, and Deep Ask Obsidian plugins, the Life Context desktop application, the LifeOS browser extension, and the website at https://lifeos.vip (collectively, the "Service") provided by LifeOS ("we", "our", or "us").

      By installing, activating, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

      1. Eligibility

      You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

      2. Accounts and Activation

      • Some features require a paid license. After purchase, you receive an activation token tied to the email you provided at checkout.
      • You are responsible for keeping your activation token confidential. Do not share, resell, or sublicense it.
      • We may revoke licenses obtained through fraud, chargeback abuse, or violations of these Terms.

      3. License Grant

      Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service for your personal or internal business use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

      You may not:

      • copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Service, except as permitted by applicable law;
      • redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share activation tokens;
      • use the Service to violate any law or third-party right;
      • attempt to bypass license checks, rate limits, or security mechanisms.

      4. Payments, Refunds and Renewals

      • Plugin purchases are processed by our payment partner Creem. By purchasing, you also agree to Creem's terms and privacy policy.
      • Prices are listed on the pricing pages of the Service and may change. Changes do not affect orders already placed.
      • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase, describing the issue.
      • For subscription products, you may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

      5. Third-Party Services

      The Service can integrate with third-party platforms you choose to connect (for example, Google Calendar, Google Drive, OpenAI, Anthropic, CalDAV providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

      6. User Content

      You retain all rights to the notes, tasks, calendars, and other content you create or store with the Service ("User Content"). LifeOS is local-first: User Content lives on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you explicitly enable a feature that requires it.

      You are solely responsible for backing up your User Content and for your use of any sync, AI, or sharing features.

      7. Privacy

      Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

      8. Disclaimers

      THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.

      9. Limitation of Liability

      TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LIFEOS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR USD 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

      10. Termination

      We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, the license granted to you ends, and you must stop using the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

      11. Changes to the Terms

      We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting on this page). Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
